Never Forget When Miley Cyrus Tried To Slip Katy Perry Some Surprise Tongue Mid-Concert

So did you like it, Katy?

Miley Cyrus has gone through a bunch of “phases” throughout her short and wildly successful music career. But as wild as her 2019 “I’m totally not rebounding from my break-up” phase is, it still pales in comparison to what went down in 2013 and 2014.

Can’t not forget this crazy period.

There was the wrecking ball thing, the Robin Thicke twerking thing and of course, the Katy Perry thing that’s the focus of this edition’s Never Forget.

Back in 2014, Miley was on her Bangerz world tour and Katy Perry happened to stop by during one of her concerts. When you’ve got a fellow superstar in the crowd of your concert, you simply have to share the spotlight a little bit because, well, why the hell not.

After giving Katy a big ol’ smooch, Miley tried to slip in a little surprise tongue but was quickly rebuffed to the amusement of everyone present.

It was over in just a few seconds but the moment lived on for a bit because, well, Katy Perry indeed kissed a girl and… sort of but not really liked it?

The singer appeared on Sunrise (via EOnline) a few weeks later and talk inevitably turned to her and Miley Cyrus’ little impromptu bout of tonsil hockey, to which she explained:

“I just walked up to her to give her like a friendly girly kiss, you know, as girls and then she like tried to move her head and go deeper and I pulled away.”

As for why she pulled away, Katy had a pretty good answer:

“God knows where that tongue has been. We don’t know! That tongue is so infamous!”

Fair call, Katy, fair call.

So there you have it, in the midst of a wild 2013 and 2014, Miley Cyrus found time to plant a deep kiss on Katy Perry, who didn’t seem to like it as much as her song, ‘I Kissed A Girl’, would have you believe.

Lady Gaga Got A Brutal Reality Check From Amanda Knox In 2019's Greatest Burn

There's not enough ice in the world for that burn.

Lady Gaga is a person who has enough fame, fortune and influence to last several lifetimes. When you’re in that stratospheric level of celebrity, it’s easy to lose sight of reality a little bit and the singer got a brutal reality check about it on Twitter from another woman who is well acquainted with fame and notoriety herself, Amanda Knox.

It all began when Lady Gaga innocently tweeted out “Fame is prison” on Twitter, prompting much speculation over what it means.

While many fans immediately jumped on the tweet as a sign that new Lady Gaga music is coming, Amanda Knox thought otherwise and weighed in on the matter that was both brutal and perhaps a little personal.

After the singer shared her tweet, Amanda clapped back with a simple but hall of fame worthy retort:

For those who are unaware who Amanda Knox is and why her retort to Lady Gaga was so brutal, she became notorious back in 2007 when she was wrongfully convicted alongside her then-boyfriend for the murder of her British roommate, Meredith Kercher, in Italy.

While Amanda vehemently maintained her innocence, she ended up spending four years in prison and made headlines around the world due to the controversial and dramatic nature of her trial.

After many legal battles that included finding and convicting the real murderer, Amanda was released from prison in 2011 and was officially acquitted in 2015 by Italy’s highest court.

So yeah, Amanda Knox just gave Lady Gaga the greatest burn we’ll see all year and all it took was seven words on Twitter.

If there was anyone on earth who is more qualified to school Lady Gaga on fame and prison, it’s definitely Amanda Knox. Best get some ice for that burn, Gaga, because it’s going to linger around for a while.

Stop Analysing Selena Gomez's Social Media Like It’s A Bloody High School English Exam

Nobody wants your 1,000 word analysis.

After a hiatus from the music scene, Selena Gomez has made a long-awaited comeback with the release of her single, ‘Lose You To Love Me’. Given the gap between releases, fans immediately started digging into the lyrics hoping for some sort of fresh tea and wouldn’t you believe it, their analysis concluded that the song is about her ex, Justin Bieber.

Fans are particularly fixated on these specific lyrics from the perfectly serviceable (and unexpectedly moody) tune:

I gave my all and they all know it / You turned me down and now it’s showing

In two months, you replaced us / Like it was easy

Made me think I deserved it / In the thick of healing, yeah

Are the lyrics about Justin Bieber? Other than Selena no one can really be certain. Still, it hasn’t stopped fans from pushing that narrative and they’ve even roped Hailey Bieber in on the bandwagon.

Not long after Selena released ‘Lose You To Love Me’, Hailey posted an screenshot of Summer Walker and Jhené Aiko’s ‘I’ll Kill You’ on her Instagram Stories, prompting fans to think it was a shade response of some kind on the behalf of Justin.

The focus then shifted back onto Selena after she shared a heartfelt message on Twitter about her father, causing fans to think it was a response to Hailey’s “response”.

So to recap so far: Selena Gomez released a song, fans immediately read into the lyrics like Sherlock Holmes, a “this is defs about Justin Bieber” narrative gets formed out of nowhere, and Hailey Bieber inevitably gets pulled into it.

If this sounds ridiculous, that’s because it is.

Hey internet, here’s an idea: stop overanalysing Selena Gomez’s song lyrics and social media like it’s a bloody high school advanced English exam.

Not everything she posts or sings about is about Justin Bieber, who she hasn’t dated for years and is (seemingly) happily married to Hailey. At this point, it’s just stirring up drama for the sake of it.

Even Hailey is calling out all those trying to push the “Hailey shares a shady response to Selena’s song about Justin” narrative after commenting on an Instagram post about the rumours: “Please stop with this nonsense… there is no ‘response’. This is complete BS.”

Selena hasn’t come out and said anything about what ‘Lose You To Love Me’ is about and nor do the lyrics explicitly name Justin in them. For all we know, the song could also be about her ex-boyfriend The Weeknd or another former flame whom we have no idea about.

So to those Selena Gomez/Justin Bieber stans out there, calm your jets. You’re not going to get a band 6 for your analysis of the lyrics to ‘Lose You To Love Me’ so just enjoy the song for what it is without stirring up unnecessary drama.
