Robert Pattinson’s The Batman is shaping up to be quite the star-studded affair based on all the cast confirmations. But it seems like talent isn’t the only thing the filmmakers are looking for as the latest additions to the movie just cranked the thirst factor up several notches.
According to Deadline, the upcoming Caped Crusader flick has managed to nab Colin Farrell to play *checks notes* the Penguin.

Jaysus. How on earth did they go from Danny DeVito to Colin Farrell for The Penguin? Talk about an epic glo-up.
That’s not all either as The Wrap is reporting that Andy Serkis is also in talks to wait on Robert Pattinson hand and foot as Batman’s loyal butler, Alfred Pennyworth.
Okay, your mileage may vary on Andy Serkis but when he’s not under gallons of make-up or millions of dollars of CGI, he’s far from an unattractive dude. He may not be Jeremy Irons but he’s got more than enough charm to make up for it.
Finally, there’s a juicy rumour floating around that The Batman will also feature an appearance for Harvey Dent, who will apparently be played by Matthew McConaughey.
Matthew McConaughey rocking a suit and being super charming before making an epic heel-face-turn (literally) to become Two-Face.
Well alright, alright, alright.

Even if The Batman ends up being slightly disappointing – which is looking more and more unlikely based on all the talent assembled – at least we’ll be getting one of the hottest and most talented casts ever cobbled together for a superhero film.
One thing’s for sure, June 25, 2021 can’t come soon enough.
