It’s been a big day for… Listening to...

Millie Bobby Brown Wrote A Fanfic And Netflix Gave Her A Movie Deal, Hbu?

Time to dust off all those Twilight scribbles from high school and call up Netflix.

Since Stranger Things 4 won’t be hitting Netflix anytime soon, Millie Bobby Brown has plenty of time on her hands and she’s decided to spend it by writing some fanfiction and uh, *checks notes* turning it into a movie.

Recreation of the movie’s development process.

According to The Wrap, the Stranger Things star will be developing and producing a film for Netflix based on an original fanfiction story she wrote with her older sister.

Titled A Time Lost, the film revolves around a long-standing feud between two Long Island families that escalates when one of the teenage daughters is diagnosed with cancer.

That… sounds like a pretty intense story to come out of the brain of a 15-year-old teenage girl. At least it’s not Twilight.

Okay, we’re getting too judgy about the whole “Millie Bobby Brown wrote some fanfiction and is making a movie out of it” thing so let’s look at it pragmatically.

Yes she and her older sister wrote a story that seems to be well beyond her years, but the film’s actual script will be written by Anna Klassen so there will be an experienced writer onboard to make sure the project isn’t just some scribbles from the diary of a teenager.

Besides, Netflix wouldn’t be giving MBB a movie deal like this without ensuring she is surrounded by people to help make it not suck so let’s not give it the doom and gloom treatment (yet).

Producing and writing a movie isn’t easy, let alone doing it when you’re 15, so the fact that she’s doing it at all is quite remarkable.

Let’s also not forget the fact that Millie Bobby Brown is only 15. That’s an age where it’s typical to broaden your horizons and to fail and succeed and a bunch of things so let’s just see how this all pans out.
