Harrison Ford Has Weighed In On Who Should Be The Next Indiana Jones, In Typical Harrison Ford Style

It should come as no surprise.

Harrison Ford’s reaction to who should play Indiana Jones after him is part of the reason we love him so much.

During an interview on NBC’s Today, Ford was asked who he would choose to be his replacement as the legendary archeologist and his response was no one!

The 70-year-old laughed, telling the host, “Nobody is going to be Indiana Jones, don’t you get it? I’m Indiana Jones. When I’m gone, he’s gone. It’s easy.”

We couldn’t agree more.

In the past, it’s been rumoured that Chris Pratt might reboot the series, but Ford is adamant the character will die with him.

Ford joked about how Pratt will take the news, but mixed up his Chrises and said, “This is a hell of a way to tell Chris Pine this. I’m sorry, man.”

When Shia LaBeouf was introduced in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, it was believed he would be taking over the franchise and Ford also rejected that idea.

Speaking with Time in 2010 he said, “What are you talking about? It’s mine.”

“I would love to do another Indiana Jones movie. George Lucas is working on an idea now. Shia can get his own hat. I earned that hat.”

We just hope Disney honours his wish!

Harrison Ford returns to the role in Indiana Jones 5 which will be directed by Steven Spielberg and is set to be released in July 2021.
