Moby Will Stop At Nothing To Tell The World He's Vegan

We get it, Moby.

I think it’s fair to say that most of us have had a pretty wild 2019, but Moby seems to have had a more… interesting year than most. Just as we thought he was done making questionable choices, he’s back in the headlines for his latest badly thought through vegan tattoos.

Back in May, Moby cancelled his book tour after writing all about how he dated Natalie Portman, who was surprised by this information to say the least. He’d said they dated when she was 20, but when she was asked about it she said that wasn’t quite true.

“I was surprised to hear that he characterised the very short time that I knew him as dating, because my recollection is a much older man being creepy with me when I had just graduated high school.”

To his credit, Moby made a very legit sounding apology, something we don’t really get very often from celebrities. He said sorry and announced that he was going to go away for a while.

Good plan, Moby

Four months later, Moby hit headlines again for getting a massive “Vegan For Life” tattoo on his neck. It was done by Kat Von D, and is certainly quite the statement. As it would appear though, not enough of a statement for Moby.

The newest ink that Moby has decided to go for are the words “ANIMAL RIGHTS” down each of his arms. Huge letters, just the outlines, from where his t-shirt sleeve ends all the way down to his hands.

He got them to celebrate his 32nd anniversary of being vegan. I actually thought that was the reason he got the Vegan For Life tattoo, but apparently not. The Vegan For Life tattoo was because he was coming up on the 32nd anniversary, and the arm tattoos are for the actual anniversary.

No shade on vegans or their tattoos, there are a thousand other better tattoos you could get to commemorate being vegan. I’ve seen cute cows, a person hugging a pig, and even a bunch of vegetables. They’ve always been done well and been something nice for the person whose skin they’re on to have for themselves.

Something tells me that Moby’s tattoos aren’t just for him though, he wants the entire world to know that he’s vegan.

Message received, Moby. We get it.
