Miley Cyrus Has Successfully Merged Bangerz Miley, Hannah Montana, And New Miley In Unreleased New Track

20 second teaser and 'Bad Karma' is guaranteed to be your new favourite song.

Miley Cyrus promised that her new music would deliver a fusion of her past hip-hop, pop, and country sounds, and based on this sneak peak she posted, she’s delivering on that promise.

For context, let’s remember that Miley has traversed a disparate range of musical styles since coming onto the scene as the fictional tweenie-bopper pop star Hannah Montana in 2006.

The Hannah Montana days were defined by the sickly-sweet but catchy-as-hell tracks of Miley’s Disney Channel alias. From ‘Bigger Than Us‘ to ‘The Climb‘, her music started out as pure pop rock with the occasional country twinge. It was a glorious, youthfully innocent era, and ‘The Climb’ is forever a masterpiece.

In 2010 Miley followed the natural progression of a Disney Channel sweetheart and debuted an edgier persona with ‘Can’t Be Tamed’. It was a well-executed rebrand, and it was undeniably a hit.

Then came the infamous 2013-2015 Bangerz era, which was a much more controversial rebrand for Miley. Partly because Miley was now openly tributing sex, drugs, and skimpy outfits, and partly because Miley was criticising for usurping the hip-hop genre for her own profit.

Still, in spite of the twerking backlash and THAT VMA performance, we got some great hits like ‘We Can’t Stop’ and ‘Wrecking Ball’.

We’ll skim past the Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz Soundcloud album of 2015, straight to Miley’s rebrand back to the el natural country gal of her youth. Younger Now lead with tracks ‘Younger Now’ and ‘Malibu’, which are pleasant but nothing extraordinary.

Miley promised that her upcoming album would fuse together the edginess and country roots of her past music, and the magnificence of her recent Mark Ronson hit ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’ gave us high hopes for whats to come.

Now Miley has shared a 20 second teaser clip of a new track ‘Bad Karma’, filmed in transit to or from the Met Gala with hubby Liam Hemsworth smiling adorably in the background. And honestly, this song BANGS. It fuses everything from Hannah Montana through to Bangerz and Younger Now, and delivers a country-pop sound that we can’t wait to hear more of.

2019 Miley Cyrus for the win, bring on the new tunes.

Love Is Liam Hemsworth Trolling Miley With His Own Beautiful Rendition Of Party In The USA

He's just a fan!!!

2009 Miley Cyrus can be summed up by one iconic hit: ‘Party in the USA’.

Now, 10 years and a fair few ~phases~ later, Miley is happily married to her long-time lover Liam Hemsworth, and the pair are almost painfully loved up.

In between a healthy dose of PDA, Miley and Liam also share a healthy dose of roasting each other. All is fair when you’re this secure in your relationship I guess, because somehow, Liam Hemsworth trolling Miley with her own hit song comes off as purely adorable.

This man is perfect.

Liam shared a video to Instagram Story of him belting out his own rendition of Miley’s ‘Party in the USA’ while on the tarmac en route to their private plane.

It’s a lot of “YEAAAHH YEAAHHH YEAHHHHHH” and trying to get Miley involved, and it’s very cute.

The best part about this video, besides how adorably loved up Miley and Liam seem even when trolling each other, is how the line “Paahhhty in the USA” sounds in an Australian accent. Just beautiful.
