This year’s Met Gala has had plenty of hot looks walking the pink carpet, but three familiar faces are noticeably absent.
Rihanna, the unofficial queen of the gala, did not attend for the first time in a LONG time. There is no doubt that she would have won the evening with her take on the ‘Camp’ theme, but now we will never know what her outfit could have been.
She is greatly missed from the lineup, as no one does Met Gala like BadGalRiRi.
The one and only Beyoncé was also missing from this year’s Met Gala, which puts a big hole in the celebrity guest list.
Oh what could have been.
There was also no Blake Lively at this year’s event, which is a shame as she’s earned a reputation for rocking her looks over the past few years.
Her gown and crown for 2018’s ‘Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & the Catholic Imagination’ themed Met Gala was particularly memorable.
We would have loved to see what all of these woman would have worn for this year’s Met Gala theme, as it drew in some beautiful and bizarre interpretations. But the biggest tragedy is definitely the absence of Rihanna, who is still queen of the Gala, even without attending.
