Quiet in the realm, kids. We’ve had some exciting news about none other than *the* Arya Stark, a.k.a the Hero of Winterfell. Or, more accurately, the actor who portrayed her: Maisie Williams.

The 22-year-old badass who famously ended the Night King has officially signed onto her next big project post-Game of Thrones, and Arya stans will be happy to learn that her next character is yet another powerful babe.
As Deadline shares, Williams will be taking on the lead role of Kim Noakes in UK series Two Weeks To Live; a comedy written by Gaby Hull.
The Sky original series follows on as Noakes, “a strange, young misfit”, navigates life after a “seemingly harmless prank” goes belly-up. She, along with two brothers named Nicky and Dave, end up finding themselves trying to elude both the cops and a gangster set on killing them all.
Sure, it sounds absolutely nothing like ~any~ of the seven kingdoms. No, I don’t believe ‘Needle’ will be making an appearance in this project. And, I’m not exactly convinced that we’ll be seeing a cameo from Gendry (Joe Dempsie) in this show.
But would you look at the description Sky gave of our girl’s new character:
“Kim is no ordinary fish out of water,” they shared in a press release on the production.
“she’s more like a great white shark who knows how to strip a Smith & Weston SDVE pistol in 6 seconds flat, skin a deer to make a sleeping bag, and perform all the routines from Dirty Dancing. With her in their team, they might all just survive…”
Right up Williams’ alley, no?
For Game of Thrones fans who are reeling over the fact that their time with Arya Stark has come to an end (read: all of us), a new series featuring Williams slinging a pistol while wreaking havoc on a gangster sounds like a solid substitute.
And honestly, if there’s anyone who deserves a killer role after GoT, it’s this legend. Williams’ performance across the eight seasons of Thrones was phenomenal; she brought one of the most powerful female characters (ever) to life and she deserves every success that comes her way.
(Fingers crossed her career is full of powerful, complex female characters worthy of her talent.)
I mean, after all, she did save us all from certain death after performing that iconic hand-switch knife move.

She may have hung up her sword, but Williams has certainly not stopped slaying and we couldn’t love this more.
