The standard McDonalds menu is great and all, but the best part isn’t the double Quarter Pounder or the Oreo McFlurries. No, it’s the many creative ways you can combine various menu items into a heavenly concoction of sugary/savoury bliss.
Big Mac sauce on your Cheeseburger? No problem. Chips in your caramel sundae? Easy.
Sensing that people love their secret off-menu items, Maccas decided to jump on the bandwagon by teaming up with UberEats to bring a makeshift favourite straight to your doorstep: the Apple Pie McFlurry.
Having noticed that a LOT of us – we’re talking one in four – tended to order an apple pie when getting a sundae through UberEats, Maccas decided to cut out the middle man and do the messy pie-in-sunday dunking for you.
This little slice of crunchy, creamy heaven won’t officially be around forever as it will only be available exclusively on UberEats until September 4, so you have a few days before going back to ordering each component separately and putting everything together yourself like a pleb.
There may only be a few days to get a properly constructed Apple Pie McFlurry delivered to your front door, but seeing as how Maccas are clearly listening to the pleas of the (hungry) people, I got a few other secret menu items that the fast food giant and UberEats should totally deliver to us next.
Hash Brown McMuffin
Each component is readily available since the beginning of time, yet the Hash Brown McMuffin has never appeared as an official item on the menu (as far as I can recall).
Time to rectify this methinks, Maccas and UberEats.
McCrepe
Hot cakes are pretty good and so is the yoghurt cup, but combine the two and you get a delicious crepe.
It is a messy process so it’ll be great if someone else can do it for me, thanks.
The Land, Sea, & Air Burger
I don’t know about you but I occasionally get that hankering for a beef burger, a chicken burger, and a Fillet-O-Fish all at the same time, so please do me a solid, Maccas, and make this a reality.
Putting three burgers into one is a bit out of my skillset, so yeah.
Chips in your shake/burger
A classic staple from your childhood. Everything just tastes better with chips in it, so why not have those fried bits of potato already in the burger/shake?
I mean, that’s what Maccas chips are used for anyway.
Spiders
To wash all those aforementioned treats down, why not stay on the secret menu and get yourself a spider?
All it involves is a dollop of that silky soft serve ice cream with some Coke/Fanta/whatever soft drink, something that I’m sure will be a sinch for Maccas to whip up.
