Just in case you’ve been living under a rock: LIZZIE MCGUIRE IS GETTING A REBOOT AND I CAN’T CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT!!!!!
There was no better feeling than watching back-to-back episodes of Lizzie on Disney Channel after a hard day at school. And now, I get to relive that feeling as an adult after a hard day at work.
The reboot looks like it’s going to be great, with the whole McGuire fam back on board. Filming has officially started and Hillary Duff, bless her, has been keeping everyone up to speed.
She shared this happy snap from the first day of production on her Instagram and eek!
She looks happy and Lizzie looks FABULOUS in all yellow, but I have a bone to pick: where is the tie dye? And the scrunchies? And the bandannas?
Sure, the mustard overcoat is adult-chic and the black boots are very edgy and cool, but they don’t have anything on Lizzie’s OG wardrobe.

Adult Lizzie can learn a thing or two from young Lizzie about wardrobe experimentation and having fun with your clothes. She’s got the colour thing down pat with all the yellow, but I’m hoping her closet will still feature some OG looks. Nothing like some ’90s butterfly clips to take your outfit from drab to fab.
Also, if adult Lizzie doesn’t wear this outfit I’m suing:
Long story short, adult Lizzie looks like she’s living her best New York life and she looks chic doing it. But a bit more sparkle certainly wouldn’t hurt.
