Does Lindsay Lohan Reckon Leonardo DiCaprio Can Single-Handedly Stop The Amazon Wildfires?

She doesn't even go here.

ICYMI, the wildfires ravaging the Amazon rainforest made headlines this week after satellite photos showed that smoke billowing over Brazil could be seen from space. Now Lindsay Lohan is chiming in.

Plenty of celebrities have taken to social media in an attempt to drive awareness to the devastating events, including Leonardo DiCaprio, who posted about the fires on Instagram.

The actor captioned his photo: “Terrifying to think that the Amazon is the largest rainforest on the planet, creating 20% of the earth’s oxygen, basically the lungs of the world, has been on fire and burning for the last 16 days running, with literally NO media coverage whatsoever! Why?”

Leo’s post racked up over 70K comments, including one from Lindsay Lohan, which read: “How can we fix it? Actions speak louder than words my friend.”

While some are speculating that LiLo’s comment was a subtle shade throw at Leo, it also sounds like she thinks the 44-year-old actor could legitimately have the solution to the world’s worst wildfire.

DiCaprio has been fighting for environmental issues for decades now and even has his own non-profit organisation, the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, devoted to promoting environmental awareness. Sadly, that does not mean he has the solution to every environmental disaster.

It’s not the first time Lindsay Lohan’s questionable Instagram comments have made headlines. Last year, she commented on a photo of two employees at her now defunct Lohan Beach Club and threatened to fire them for not wearing matching the same shoes.

The same year, Lohan commented on a selfie Ariana Grande posted, “too much makeup.” She also once tried to make friends with Kourtney Kardashian by commenting on her photo, “Friend#” – shame the hashtag was in the wrong place.

Look, there’s no doubt Lindsay Lohan can be a little unpredictable on social media, but she does have a point: actions speak louder than words, especially when it comes to the Amazon wildfires. Head here to find out how you can help.
