During an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Dax Shepard was asked if his children, who he shares with the beautiful Kristen Bell, understand their parents are famous and it turns out the story of them finding out is amazing.
When asked if they knew, Dax tells Stephen, “Okay, so that is an interesting question.”
He explained that they know what he and Kristen do for a living, “They know that mom is Princess Anna from Frozen. They know that. They understand it…They’ve been to set. They’ve seen us work. They have seen billboards around town. And people have taken photos of us when we’re out and about.”
Dax, who hosts popular podcast Armchair Expert with actress Monica Padman, went on, “But I was talking to my daughter, and she said, ‘Why do people listen to [your] podcast? Do they listen for you, or for Monica?'”
He told his daughter that people probably first started listening to the podcast because they knew of him and probably didn’t really know Monica. She then asked why people know him, to which he responded, “Well, because I’m famous.”
“And she goes, ‘You’re famous?'” And apparently proceeded to make this face:
She then had the perfect follow-up question, “Does Mom know?!”
“And I go, ‘Honey, Mom’s more famous than Dad,'” Dax added.
“And she goes, ‘MOM’S FAMOUS TOO?!'”
But now, the kids think everyone in the family is famous, including Dax’s mother, who they call Gaga.
This made things all the more hilarious when they were watching the Golden Globes with their grandma and Lady Gaga was introduced onstage and the girls thought everyone was applauding their grandma.
