Kevin Hart has made a lot of movies recently – just this year he’s appeared in four films – and now he’s making a superhero movie called Night Wolf.
When you think of superhero movies you think of Marvel and DC, right? Well, Hart’s movie will be a little different, and the plot is pretty much what you’d expect from the actor.
According to Deadline, the movie will be like a superhero movie meets Meet The Parents. The story is about a man who meets his fiancée’s parents for the first time and finds out her father is a superhero called Night Wolf.
Unsurprisingly, it’s believed he’ll star as the man meeting the parents – it definitely fits with his style of comedy.
Hart will also produce the movie and Detective Pikachu writers Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit are reportedly writing it.
Chairman of STX Films Adam Fogelson made an announcement about the movie, saying, “After we acquired Night Wolf, we submitted it to Kevin Hart and the Team at HartBeat hoping they would love it as much as we did.
“It is a big, broad comedy and the idea is great fun and perfectly matched with Kevin’s comedic talent. We are thrilled to be working on what will now be our fourth film together.”
Hart also added, “I am excited to be working with our friends at STX again. They brought us a great project with Night Wolf. I instantly fell in love with this pitch about an everyday guy who is meeting his in-laws for the first time and unwittingly discovers his dad to be is secretly a superhero.”
There’s no word yet on who will co-star with Hart in the movie, but we have no doubt the person who plays Night Wolf will probably have a lot of fun with the role.
