The Internet’s Divided Over Keanu Reeves Possibly Joining 'Fast & Furious'

Woah.

After 35 years in the spotlight, Keanu Reeves has well and truly established himself at the Internet’s long-term boyfriend. He’s smart, he’s sassy, he’s incredibly talented, and most importantly, he’s got the nice guy energy that’s becoming harder to come by in Hollywood.

That’s why it comes as no surprise that the Internet is divided over the news Reeves could potentially star in the upcoming Fast & Furious 9.

Speaking to Screen Rant, long-time Fast & Furious writer Chris Morgan said “I sat down with [Reeves] and we’re talking about. I wanted him to be in the Fast universe for a very long time. We’re just trying to find…the hardest thing is always time and competing schedules and then designing the right thing together. My fervent desire is to bring him into this franchise for sure.”

Fans have since taken to Twitter to share their feelings on the rumoured Keanu Reeves Fast & Furious role, and there are plenty of mixed opinions:

Even if Reeves was keen to star in the next Fast & Furious movie, he’d have to squeeze it in between his current commitments, including John Wick: Chapter 4, The Matrix 4 and Bill & Ted Face The Music.

Keanu Reeves Fast & Furious role isn’t the one that has tongues wagging. Earlier this week, Vin Diesel took to Instagram to announce Cardi B’s involvement in the film with a video of the pair on set. In the video, Cardi says, “I’m tired. But I can’t wait. I ain’t gonna front, I think this is gonna be the best one.”

Fast & Furious 9 follows this year’s spinoff Hobbs & Shaw starring The Rock and Jason Statham. Despite twice the action hero, the film only racked up 67% on Rotten Tomatoes and got a score of 60 out of 100 on Metacritic.

Will Cardi B and Keanu Reeves Fast & Furious role take the franchise from 60 to 100? Here’s hoping.
