It’s been a huge year for Keanu Reeves. In fact, some fans of the actor have noted that we’re in the midst of a ‘Keanussance’ right now.
The 54-year-old has cemented his status as the Internet’s new boyfriend in recent months with various film appearances, by blessing us with some thought-provoking comments on life and death, and for being a generally good dude.
However, Reeves’ new look for his upcoming role in Bill & Ted Face the Music has me asking myself: am I excited, or terrified?
Pics have surfaced of the actor on set sporting a truly cooked shaved mullet-mohawk, bushy beard and skin-tight Under Armour shirt pulled up to expose his midriff.
There is so much to unpack here. Is this just for the film? Or is this Keanu’s new look? Where are his long glossy locks? What is going on!?
Bill & Ted Face the Music is set to follow the iconic duo, now middle-aged adults with their own daughters, coming to realise they have yet to achieve the music that the future Utopian society will follow.
It’s a comedy, so Reeves’ new look could be for the film, however none of the promo pics show him sporting the mullet-mohawk, nor the beard.
The Internet has been having a field day reacting to his new look, but there are plenty of fans who simply believe Keanu Reeves can do no wrong – mohawk or not.
It’s no surprise, considering the actor’s humble reaction to hearing he’s become our new obsession. During an interview at the Toy Story 4 premiere in July, he was asked what he thought of being the Internet’s new boyfriend. “That’s, uh, wacky,” he said. “Well, the positivity is great.”
BLESS YOU, KEANU REEVES.
