Kanye West Legit Asked People Working On His Album 'Not To Have Premarital Sex'

He also referred to himself as "the greatest human artist of all time."

Let’s be real, nothing Kanye West says these days will surprise us. Sometimes it feels like he drops controversial statements just for the fun of it – but the bombs he was letting off in his recent interview for Apple Music Beats 1 have the collective Internet truly shook.

During the interview, West spoke about his career and how he was addicted to sex following his mother’s death in 2007. “Some people drown themselves in drugs, and I drown myself in my addiction: sex,” he said.

On the topic of sex, Ye also revealed that he asked those working on his upcoming album Jesus Is King to avoid having “premarital sex.”

“There were times where I was asking people not to have premarital sex while they were working on the album,” he told Lowe. “There were times where I went to people that were working on other projects and said, can you just work and focus on this? I thought if we could all focus and fast – families who pray together stay together.”

Just when you thought West’s interview with Lowe couldn’t get more unexpected, he brought up that time he rocked a Make America Great Again Cap. “For the greatest artist in human existence to put a red hat on was God’s practical joke to all liberals. Like, ‘No! Not Kanye’” he said.

Later, Ye said “there will be a time when I will be the president of the US and I will remember…any founder that didn’t have the capacity to understand culturally what we were doing.”

As a cherry on top of an already very bizarre cake, West referred to himself as “unquestionably, undoubtedly the greatest human artist of all time.”

You’ve got to give it to Kanye West for being a shining example of self-confidence and backing yourself, but wow – does he say these things to make headlines or does he truly believe them?

Perhaps we’ll find out when Ye releases his presidential autobiography in the future.
