A Teacher Made Himself Into A K-Pop Star To Teach English And We Are Completely On Board

Teachers, always going that extra mile.

Theeraphong Meesat is an English teacher at Prasartratprachakit School in the Ban Phaeo District of Samut Sakhon, about an hour outside of Bangkok.

And it’s a challenging gig, since Thailand is one of the least English-literate countries in South East Asia. And before you get smug about how good you are at doing the Englishing: Thailand has one official language and 62 regional ones, so it’s not like they’re not excelling at the language-knowing arts over there.

Anyway, in order to make his students feel more comfortable and less like they’re being put on the spot in class the man who calls himself Bally does the obvious thing: disguise himself as a K-Pop star.

Yes, really.

This one, specifically.

Supposedly he was at a march that ran late while dressed as Lisa from Blackpink and didn’t have time to get changed before taking a class.

To his very reasonable surprise he found that his students responded far better to him in character than as their teacher.

And thus was a legend born.

Bally, you’re a freakin’ legend.

And this, friends, is more evidence as to why teachers are pretty much the best people on the planet. FACT.
