Hell Yes The Hacker Who Stole Private Nude Photos Of Jennifer Lawrence, Ariana Grande And Over 200 Other People Is Going To Jail

George Garofano tried to tell the court he’s "already suffered", but he was sentenced to eight months in jail because the guy is objectively a pig.

I hope someday I never have to write or talk or think about another pig who has decided to handle someone else’s naked or intimate photos without their consent, but at least today we can celebrate the fact that one of those pigs is facing some actual consequences.

26-year-old George Garofano has been sentenced to eight months in prison for his role in the infamous 2014 hacking scandal that stole and exposed intimate photos of Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Ariana Grande, Kirsten Dunst and other celebrities and people.

He’s is one of four people to be charged for the illegal theft of private content from 240 victims and honestly I would have been happy to see him get much more than eight months. But jail time is better than nothing and we’ll take what we can get.

Back in 2014 Jennifer Lawrence described the invasion as equivalent to a sex crime, which is right, and she called for tougher laws, which is also right.

There is this astounding entitlement to women’s bodies that makes people believe there are no consequences for violating our privacy, but those people can get f***ed. We see you and you will pay for being absolute scum.

While Garofano asked for leniency and insisted he has “already suffered” and changed since intentionally stealing private photos from hundreds of victims over 18 months, the prosecution went hard.

“In committing this offense, Mr Garofano acted in complete and utter disregard for the impact on his victims’ lives.” The prosecution’s sentencing memo to the court reads.

I hope he feels the sharp sting of guilt and the full weight of his mother’s shame for the rest of his life to be honest that’s where I’m at.
