Prince Charles Taking On A James Bond Role May Just Show Up Mummy Dearest

Someone get him a martini.

Prince Charles is rumoured to be taking on a role in the new James Bond film, known as Bond 25.

The Sun reports the opportunity arose when the Prince visited the movie’s Pinewood set.

If the appearance goes ahead, Charles wouldn’t be the first royal to make an appearance alongside the spy. The Queen made an appearance with Daniel Craig in a short clip for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

A source told the newspaper, “They loved the buzz around the Queen’s appearance alongside Daniel Craig and think Charles could top even that.”

“He is the epitome of everything British, perfect for a cameo role and Bond fans worldwide would absolutely love it.”

They added that if Charles turns the appearance down the producers will try and get Prince William and Harry to make the cameo – which, in our opinion, would probably be way better.

The brothers made an appearance in Star Wars: The Last Jedi as Stormtroopers but were cut out because they were too tall.

In other huge news for Bond 25, the Daily Mail reported in July that British actress Lashana Lynch will be the new 007.

The British star, who you might recognise as Captain Marvel‘s Maria Rambeau, will be revealed as the new 007 in a “popcorn dropping moment”.

An insider told the publication, “There is a pivotal scene at the start of the film where M says ‘Come in 007’, and in walks Lashana who is black, beautiful and a woman.

“It’s a popcorn-dropping moment. Bond is still Bond but he’s been replaced as 007 by this stunning woman.

“Bond, of course, is sexually attracted to the new female 007 and tries his usual seduction tricks, but is baffled when they don’t work on a brilliant, young black woman who basically rolls her eyes at him and has no interest in jumping into his bed. Well, certainly not at the beginning.”

The source added that the phrase “Bond girls” is now forbidden, adding, “We were all told that from now on they are to be addressed as ‘Bond women’.”

Lynch’s character will reportedly be tasked with tracking Bond down and bringing him out of retirement for a new mission.

The movie is set for release in April 2020.
