Jacinda Ardern, the New Zealand prime minister who Australia would be prepared to re-merge with NZ to install, has just confirmed that she’s totally engaged.
And now we believe that love is real and the world is a glorious place full of endless joyful promise.

Turns out that her Clarke Gayford popped the question over the Easter long weekend, and given that the pair have an almost one year old daughter, Neve Te Aroha Ardern Gayford, he was probably fairly confident in the answer.
Mind you, he’s not alone in loving the NZ PM – as she learned recently when visiting a primary school and… look, just watch it.
On Thursday, my baby along with her class, got the honour of meeting Whaea Jacinda. She was meant to whakamihi then hongi ? but told me she was really scared and “all the peoples was watching” Such a magical moment x
