In House Of Cards' Newest And Greatest 'Hell Yeah' Moment, The Show Straight Up Kills Kevin Spacey In A New Season Six Trailer

Paving the way for Robin Wright's one woman tour de force that I've been eagerly waiting for.

Kevin Spacey has had a well-deserved fall from grace following allegations of sexual assault and misconduct, to the point where literally no one will watch his films any more.

After Spacey’s firing from House of Cards, there was buzz over what exactly will happen to his character, Frank Underwood, given how he is the show’s primary protagonist/antagonist. Would he be regulated to flashbacks? Voiceovers only using very convincing voice actors? Cutting edge CGI to paint his face onto a stand-in actor’s head?

Nope, House of Cards decided to throw one last middle finger to the actor by straight up killing his character.

In a new trailer for the upcoming sixth and final season of House of Cards, Robin Wright’s character, Claire Underwood, delivers a scathing monologue to an unseen grave, which is quickly revealed to be none other than her late husband Frank’s.

In just 40 seconds, this little scene has already cemented itself as the show’s greatest “hell yes!” moment in a show stacked with WTF moments.

And can we give props once again to just how badass Wright is? There’s no doubt that she will give House of Cards the send-off it deserves post-Spacey and I eagerly await the numerous crowning moments of awesome that she will bring to the screen.

Ah, what a beautiful 40 or so seconds that was and probably the most appropriate metaphor for the smouldering remains of what used to be a glittering acting career.

Thankfully we won’t have to wait too long to see how everything wraps up as House of Cards‘ last season will drop on November 2, so there will be plenty of time get ourselves ready for Robin Wright’s one woman tour de force.
