The Disturbing Trailer For Stephen King's Pet Sematary Film Adaptation Is Set To Ruin Cute Animal Videos For The Internet Forever

Kill it with fire.

Stephen King’s 1983 horror novel Pet Sematary is being remade (again) into a film and if the first trailer is anything to go by, this is going to be a fun cocktail of disturbing and terrifying.

Yay!

The story follows a family who finds themselves in a little slice of hell on earth after burying a family member in a rogue pet cemetery that actually turns out to be a Native American burial ground. Classic mix up.

What follows is a whole lot of undead resurrections and creepy animal stuff that is enough to ruin cute animal content for the whole internet, forever.

Pet Sematary has been thrown between directors and stuck in development purgatory for a while, but now it’s ready to roll with Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kölsch directing the Paramount big screen picture.

It’s renowned as one of King’s most disturbing works ever, and since the success of the It film adaptation the hype around Pet Sematary is huge.

There’s no Australian release date yet but Pet Sematary is set for an April 2019 US release, so we should expect it to reach us down here some time in the next 5 to 10 years.
