This Dude Stock-Piled $1 Maccas Burgers As 'Meal Prep' Because #Fitspo

Picture of health.

According to all the fitness pages I follow online, getting lean and mean is 10% exercise and 90% diet.

While this kind of thinking works well for the small portion of the population who really want washboard abs, it doesn’t work so well for the rest of us who would rather eat a whole pizza than survive on kale and engine fumes.

I reject the ‘you are what you eat’ hypothesis purely because a person’s mental state is just as important as their physical state. If eating the burger makes you happy, then eat the damn burger.

Or, if you’re this Aussie guy, stock-pile a bunch of burgers to satisfy your early morning grease cravings and start your day with something that brings you joy:

Buying Maccas burgers in bulk isn’t the traditional definition of ‘meal prep’. Meal prepping is a term used in the fitness industry that describes the process of cooking and pre-packing healthy meals for you to eat throughout the week – they usually include a lot more brown rice and a lot less burger buns.

However, norms are meant to be challenged and I respect what this guy is doing.

If burgers are the food that help him be his happiest, most authentic, ‘healthy’ self, then who are we to tell him what he’s doing is wrong?

Sure, his arteries won’t thank him for it. And I’m not so sure freezing and defrosting a meat patty which has already been frozen and defrosted is a good idea, but I support his decision.

Freezing $1 Maccas burgers is cost effective, a time saver and…well, that’s pretty much all it is.

Just keeping it real. Source: Giphy

The identity of burger man is yet to be revealed, but if someone knows this man or his whereabouts please give him a high five for us. He might not deserve a health star rating but he does deserve a gold star. Props to you dude for not giving a crap what society tells you about meal prep and #fitspo – you do you.

Hopefully your metabolism can keep up. I’ll stick to my sweet potato and avocado, though.

Cool as a…avocado. Source: Giphy
