If You Want To Opt Out Of My Health Record Then They're Back Online After Crashing From Everyone Trying To Opt Out Of My Health Record

Clock's ticking, folks; and that data won't opt out itself.

If you’ve been meaning to opt out of My Health Record – the massive online data of Australia health data which will revolutionise the way health services serve Australians, provided that it’s not on-sold to private insurers  and/or hacked and released to the public, as has happened with most comparable systems, be advised that it’s back online and ready for you to opt out of.

The reason that the system crashed, supposedly, was that everyone was doing just what you’re doing now: going “oh hell, that’s right – when’s the deadline? Oh hell, I should do that right now!” and crashing the system. Which isn’t perhaps the biggest advertisement for the robustness of the system design, frankly.

We’ve talked about why you should get out of the system while you can before, but you’re busy people and maybe haven’t leapt onto it as yet. So the good news is that you’ve got until November 15, which is sooner than you think.

So maybe jump on to the opt out page now and see if you can’t crash the system again!
