Turtle Beach Pulls No Punches For Forgotten Gamers Who Just Want To Play Too

Is Turtle Beach near Echo Beach?

Turtle Beach are an absolute godsend.

I have big ears and look, I can’t help it (thanks genetics). Which has meant that I’ve always struggled to buy gaming headphones that fit comfortably for long periods of time. Also living in a share house it’s hard to have my TV turned on the appropriate volume (and let’s be honest: pack in mic/headphones are straight trash). So when I was sent a set of Turtle Beach Stealth 600 headphones in the lead up to Borderlands 3 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, I won’t lie… I was very happy.

They’re lightweight and versatile with a sturdy plastic frame that’s evenly distributed. They’re wireless, there’s foam-cushioned speakers and a flip-up, omnidirectional mic and has a rechargeable 900mAh battery but other than being text on a box, what does that actually mean?

Well firstly, the battery will rival your controller, it roughly lasts for 15 hours which if taken care of properly would mean that it never interrupts a play session (unless you exceed 15 hours in which case you might need to go outside).

The mic is pretty crisp and clear to the point of hearing your voice in the party chat will almost sound half bearable. Unless you’re like me and cringe at hearing your own voice in which case you just flick that sucker off.

The speaker cups rest comfortably on big and small ears and other than getting a little bit warm (albeit 7 hours into a play session) weren’t uncomfortable.

But the best thing about the Stealth 600s are the features.

So there’s Turtle Beach Virtual Sound, which offers a simulated surround sound that gives you the audio depth of a soundbar and speaker set up some of us are unable to afford. Superhuman hearing which helps boost footsteps and subtle sounds (that is very useful in stealth and COD:MW).

But especially for glasses wearers, Turtle Beach’s ProSpecs glasses relief system which eliminates the annoyance of wearing glasses and headphones.

So what am I saying? The Turtle Beach Stealth 600s are perfect for all types of people. Those with big ears, those who wear glasses and those who care about sound at a decent price point (because not all of us can spend more on headphones than we did on our console).
