OK, so we know what you’re thinking – how can Daenerys be alive on Game of Thrones when we totally saw her nephew/lover Jon Snow fatally stab her?
We saw the life fade from her eyes and then watched as her dragon Drogon picked up her lifeless body and flew “east” according to one of Bran’s advisors.

Despite all of this, fans are pretty convinced Daenerys isn’t dead, or at least not isn’t dead now. And, to be honest, we’re kind of convinced now too.
Some fans have taken to Twitter and revealed that if Drogon was going east, he may have been going to Volantis to see Kinvara, the Red Priestess we met in season six.
Kinvara claimed Dany was “the Princess that was Promised” reborn and has the power of the Lord of Light which means she can bring people back from the dead as we’ve previously seen with Jon Snow and Beric Dondarrion.

Another theory suggests Daenerys’ body might be gone, but her mind lives on in Drogon. This theory came about because in the books, wargs can “live on” in the mind of an animal after they die.
“It is possible for the warg to live a type of second life, a much simpler life inside the mind of an animal he controls. In the second life, the skinchanger’s [warg’s] memory slowly fades until nothing of the man is left and only the beast remains.”
Dany, however, wasn’t a warg on the show, but fans are hoping her connection with Drogon might make this possible anyway.

While that idea is pretty cool, we think the first theory probably makes the most sense, if only it had been written that way!
