The Big, Emotional Game Of Thrones Moment You've Been Waiting For Since Season 1 Finally Happened

Spoilers ahead, obviously.

SPOILERS AHEAD SO TURN BACK NOW IF YOU’RE NOT UP TO DATE ON GAME OF THRONES!

The premiere episode of the last season of Game of Thrones has finally aired and hoo boy do we need to do some unpacking. Now there are still a few loose ends in the show that still needs wrapping up, some of which date back to season one.

Without digging too deep into spoiler territory here as I know some of you who haven’t watched the season eight premiere episode are reading this because you can’t help yourselves, the show has finally pulled the trigger on a big, big moment that we’ve all been waiting for since episode one.

Normally we’re against spoilers being posted online since that’s just a dick move but this is something so big that we just had to comment on it.

One last warning before we go into it: SPOILERS AHEAD!

You’ve been warned.

Are we’re all good? Cool because there’s no turning back.

Okay, here’s what happened – Jon and Arya are FINALLY reunited!

After 8 long years, three dragons, several battles, about 153,221 deaths, and a Night King, the pair have finally fulfilled their promise to see each other again.

BRB, gonna go cry for an hour or two.

Needless to say that the internet went into complete meltdown at this long-awaited reunion.

The season eight premiere episode saw a lot of things happen but this is the only thing that really matters to us. Despite sharing only a few short scenes together in episode one, Jon and Arya’s close relationship really shone through in what was a packed pilot episode.

Hell, their hug goodbye and their reunion are perhaps the most honest moments in the entire show’s history, and that includes Arya saying farewell to Nymeria, Tyrion letting fly a lifetime of venom onto his father and the people of King’s Landing when he was on trial for Joffrey’s murder, and Ygritte telling Jon he knows nothing.

No, you’re crying.

What this also means is that all the Starks from episode one of Thrones are finally back together at Winterfell. Okay, some of them are dead but you get the idea.

That’s all we’ll talk about from the first episode of season eight for now since many of you haven’t seen it and we want to avoid any more spoilers if possible. Who knows what will happen in the remaining five episodes of Thrones but we’re gonna be there for every second of it, especially if stuff like Jon and Arya’s reunion keeps happening.

If you’re still not on the Game of Thrones train, then ignore everything you’ve read and familiarise yourselves with these phrases so people think you know what you’re talking about.
