Gwendoline Christie is the unofficial queen of the red carpet. The lady- sorry, goddess – can do no wrong.
I thought she’d reached peak amazing when she wore this masterpiece to the Game of Thrones Season 8 premiere in April:
But then she wore this Jesus-eque look to the Emmys and I felt the Holy Spirit move through me:
I was so sure it couldn’t get any more heavenly than this^, but Gwendoline has gone and one-upped herself again. Just look at this beautiful tall glass of water:
Gwendoline clearly knows how to rock a beautiful dress, but there’s one other accessory she works even harder than the gowns: her height. The reason Gwen looks 10/10 all the time is because she dresses for her tall frame and works it like a boss.
I’m a short girl and, as much as I love me a long flowy gown, there is no way I could pull of the style of dresses Gwendoline wears. I would get lost in all the tulle and frills. It kills me but it’s the painful truth: tall girls do long gowns better.
Gwendoline, who is almost two metres tall by the way, always uses her height as a fashion advantage. Where metres and metres of fabric would drown my small frame, they sit on her perfectly. They flow behind her when she walks and she doesn’t trip over the trail – it’s pure perfection.
