It’s been a big day for… Listening to...

Between The Potential Game Of Thrones Spoiler And The Weed-Related Anecdotes, Sophie Turner Was The Best Thing At Comic-Con

All men must avoid spoilers.

ICYMI, Sophie Turner made an appearance at this year’s New York Comic-Con to chat about her upcoming film Dark Phoenix, in which she stars as super-mutant Jean Grey.

And to the delight of all the White Walker cosplayers in the audience, the interview with Entertainment Weekly very quickly turned to Game of Thrones.

“I still don’t really accept that it’s done,” she said of her time as Sansa Stark.

“I think I won’t accept that it’s over until next year comes around and I’m not back in Belfast with my family… and it’s weird.”

Same, babe.

I’m in deep denial about the whole thing and don’t even want to think about the state I’ll be in when the series ends, and I no longer have a borderline pornographic medieval fantasy full of throat-cutting and incest to obsess over.

Anyway.

Fans and the media alike have been frothing over this interview because Turner gave us a peek into her #friendshipgoals relo with fellow GoT alum, Maisie Williams. When asked what their regular hangs looked like, Turner said:

“I don’t know if I can say!

“We’re kind of like, loners on Game of Thrones just because the past few seasons, Maisie and I, we’d have sleepovers every night when shooting. Or every night whenever both of us were in town. And we used to just sit there and eat and watch stupid videos and smoke weed.”

“Our favourite thing used to be – I don’t know if my publicist will kill me for saying – we used to get high and then we’d sit in the bath together and rub makeup brushes on our faces. It’s fun”

I just happened to be one of the nerds in the audience watching as Turner reflected on her “very emotional” final days in Winterfell, and while the makeup brush anecdote was bloody adorable/made me wish I could be part of the Sophie and Maisie squad, there was another comment that day that really caught my attention.

When chatting about her lack of options for a GoT memento, Turner made reference to a very interesting object.

“I think Kit is taking his sword home and Maisie is taking her sword home and I was like well… what do I have? So, I took my corset home,” Turner started.

She then went on to describe the pretty freaking awesome prop she actually wanted to take with her…

“We did this promo for season eight where – I don’t know if I can say this, actually. Well, actually, no. It’s got nothing to do with the series; it’s just a promo. It was this big kind of statue of me, of Sansa, and I wanted to have it in the garden of my new house. But they obviously wouldn’t ship it from Belfast to New York, so…”

A big statue, hey?

Like, say… the ones they keep in the crypts of Winterfell?

Nary a day goes by that we don’t think about you, Ned.

Let’s think about this, shall we?

Sure, this statue of Sansa could just be for some cryptic promo that’ll mess with the heads of fans.

Yes, I could be reading way too much into this because I’m too emotionally invested in this show.

And okay, Turner did explicitly say that the statue had nothing to do with the series.

But…

But! It could also mean that Sansa is very dead, and the statue is from the crypt where her body lies.

Tell us what you know, DAMN IT!

Turner went on to describe her final day on set and, uh… it didn’t help:

“It was very emotional,” she said.

“I was lucky that my last day was surrounded by a lot of the cast members and, I mean, we’d been shooting the last scene for five days straight so by the end of it I was like, ‘I just wanna finish’ but it was highly emotional.”

Could it be that she was surrounded by everyone because she’s one of the FIRST characters to die? I mean, if you’re one of the last people standing I’d assume there would only be a few cast members around, no?

Unless Turner’s castmates just wanted to be there for her final day. Which, I’m only realising is a pretty likely explanation as I’m typing it out…

So, to wrap up:
Turner may have given away a spoiler.
She also may not have.
Sansa Stark probably dies in season eight.
Along with everyone else.
The Starks seriously deserve better.
I still miss Robb.

And I’m genuinely shocked that no one asked for a framed still of Jon Snow’s butt as a parting gift.
