It’s been a big day for… Listening to...

Um, Did You Spot This Harry Potter Connection In The Frozen 2 Trailer?

Wait, what?!

Disney has finally released the official trailer for Frozen 2 after months of waiting since the first teaser (which didn’t really reveal much) was shared.

The new trailer reveals the sequel is much darker than the original and there’s even a surprising Harry Potter connection thrown in for good measure.

The trailer appears to focus more on Elsa’s powers with troll Grand Pabbie telling her, “Elsa, the past is not what it seems. You must find the truth. Go north, across the enchanted lands and into the unknown.”

One part of the trailer that stuck out to Harry Potter fans, in particular, was when a silvery-white horse appears after Elsa falls into the ocean to save her.

Sounds a lot like a Patronus, right?

Pottermore describes the Patronus as, “The Patronus is the most famous (and famously difficult) defensive charm. The aim is to produce a silvery-white guardian or protector, which takes the form of an animal.”

“One of the most powerful defensive charms known to wizardkind, the Patronus can also be used as a messenger between wizards. As a pure, protective magical concentration of happiness and hope (the recollection of a single talisman memory is essential in its creation) it is the only spell effective against Dementors.”

Fans were quick to take to Twitter to share their thoughts on the fact Elsa essentially has a Patronus:

While we like the sound of Elsa having a Patronus, the Los Angeles Times is reporting the creature is actually called a Nokk. They described the Nokk as, “A horse-like underwater creature that uses the power of the ocean to guard the secrets of the forest.”

Um, we’ll just go with the Patronus thing, thanks!
