Can We All Agree Gigi Hadid Booting The Runway Gatecrasher Looks Staged As Hell?

C'mon guys.

Fashion week is always one hell of a ride, but this week has been particularly spicy.

First, Justin Timberlake was tackled by celebrity prankster Vitalii Sediuk outside Louis Vuitton’s Paris Fashion Week show, then Gigi Hadid had to forcibly remove a gatecrasher from the runway during the Chanel show.

During the show, the mystery gatecrasher (later identified as French YouTuber Marie S’Infiltre) stepped onto the runway and walked in the line of models until she came face-to-face with Gigi Hadid.

When Hadid realised what was happening, she calmly escorted the fake model off the stage with a firm grip on her shoulder.

OK – props to Gigi Hadid for handling the situation like a boss but can we all agree the whole thing seems a little staged? Why did security leave it up to poor old Gig to deal with this potentially dangerous gatecrasher on her own?

We’re not the only ones who are suss on the mystery Chanel gatecrasher, either.

Another thing that makes me think the runway intrusion was one big stitch-up is the fact that Hadid has found herself in a similar situation in the past and responded with far more ferocity.

During Milan Fashion Week in 2016, Hadid and her sister Bella were walking down the street when they were grabbed by none other than the aforementioned celeb prankster Vitalii Sediuk.

In a video of the incident, Sediuk attempts to pick Hadid up and she swiftly elbows him square in the face before her sister runs over to assist.

While this year’s Chanel gatecrasher didn’t physically assault any of the models, Gigi was way too calm when she recognised what was going on. Where was her ferocious face elbowing!?

It’s no surprise that Marie S’Infiltre is the prankster behind the Chanel gatecrash. The 28-year-old YouTuber, whose real name is Marie Benoliel, crashed the fashion show of French lingerie and fashion brand Etam last year. Not to mention the fact that ‘Marie S’Infiltre’ literally translates to “Marie crashes.”

The comedian and YouTuber told Limportante.fr that she was inspired to crash the Chanel show because “my infiltration at Etam went so well…some thought it was rigged.” Is it just me, or does this one look rigged as well?

Maybe I’m wrong. Perhaps the whole thing was real and I should eat my words and give Hadid the credit she deserves for being as cool as a cucumber when an intruder strikes. Maybe we’ll never know.
