Thanks to social media, it feels like we have more access to our favourite celebs than ever before. We feel like we know them and apparently, some of us even feel entitled enough to touch them inappropriately.
A new video has surfaced showing Miley Cyrus walking through a packed crowd in Spain when a man’s hand comes into frame, grabs her hair and pulls her in for a kiss.
Thankfully, Miley managed to turn her head to miss the kiss, and while she hasn’t commented publicly about the incident a source told E! News she was “certainly unsettled” but “doing fine now”.

It isn’t the first time this has happened to Miley. The singer was performing in Melbourne in 2011 when a fan jumped onstage and ran up to the pop star and grabbed her shoulder.
Security pulled the girl off her before much else could happen, but in a video taken at the concert Miley appears visibly shaken.
It’s not just Miley this has happened to, people have publicly groped Harry Styles, Gigi Hadid, Kylie Jenner and Justin Bieber to name just a few.
Harry was touched inappropriately during kiwi, absolutely disgusting. #WeCanSurvive pic.twitter.com/kdo6nv1i2m

What this really does is dehumanise these people. They don’t just exist for our entertainment, they should be able to walk down the street or eat dinner without fearing they’ll be assaulted in some way by a ‘fan’.
Let this be a clear reminder, touching anyone, male or female, without their consent is assault.
Just because you’re a fan, doesn’t give you the right to touch a celebrity against their will.
Fans need to treat their favourite artists and actors with the same respect they’d give anyone else – it’s not that difficult, just don’t be a creep.
