Eagle-eyed fans of Man Of Steel would’ve noticed the many Easter eggs Zack Snyder had sprinkled in throughout the film. That’s to be expected from a superhero film after all. However, folks couldn’t help but notice that the Kryptonian pods and the House of El seen during Man Of Steel‘s opening strongly resemble dicks, which has given rise to the question whether it was intentional or not.
Well wonder no longer because Zack Snyder himself has confirmed that he indeed hid dicks in Man Of Steel on purpose.

During his Man Of Steel watch party, one of the biggest revelations from Zack Snyder (aside from revealing that his cut of Justice League is finally – FINALLY – coming) was admitting that the House of El citadel looking like a giant schlong during the film’s opening was “not an accident.”
As for why Snyder decided to insert all these dongs into the film, well apparently they’re meant to be visual representations of Kryptonian culture and fertility. Okay, fair enough, given what is established in the film.
We’re told that Kryptonians have opted to genetically engineer babies instead of doing it the old fashioned way and Kal-El/Clark Kent/Superman is the first natural birth on Krypton in a long time, so I guess it’s sort of fitting to include such symbolism in the film.
Still doesn’t change the fact that there are more giant dicks in Man Of Steel than your average porn film though.

Maybe saying Zack Snyder “hid” all this genitalia as Easter eggs in Man Of Steel is too generous. It’s about as subtle as the “Martha” moment in Batman V Superman.
With his version of Justice League coming soon, one has to wonder whether we should expect more hidden dicks or dong-shaped Easter eggs from Zack Snyder. I guess don’t be surprised if more phallus-shaped buildings or ships do show up in the Snyder Cut because of, uh, symbolism or something.
