Your Favourite Throwback Songs Are Back In The Charts, No Joke

Which one of you is still listening to Crazy Frog?

There’s so much good music in the world, and there’s more and more of it coming out every day. But sometimes, you just want to chuck your headphones on and bop to your playlist from 8 years ago, because let’s be honest, it’s still amazing. Turns out that a whole heap of people are doing this all at once, because our fave throwback songs are cracking the charts once again.

First up, Womanizer by Britney Spears. The year was 2008, this song was the lead single off her album Circus, and my 12 year old self was awkwardly shimmying around the house singing it as if I had any idea what a womanizer actually was.

For reasons I can’t quite work out (other than people having amazing taste, of course), the video clip for Womanizer is the 20th most watched video today.

You’ll also notice another fun throwback at number 27. Our friend Crazy Frog is back with his annoying voice and unnecessary animated penis.

Honestly, at least Womanizer makes sense. It’s a good song, a timeless classic. Which one of you heathens is searching for Axel F in the year of our Lord 2020?

We also have entries from Aha with Take On Me at 44, and Gotye with Somebody I Used To Know at 60. Eminem and Rihanna are at number 75 with Love The Way You Lie.

Moving away from YouTube, Ariana Grande’s Dangerous Woman is making the comeback that it deserves, quite frankly.

Everything old is new again, and music is no different. For everyone who thought these songs would come and go like any other pop song when they were released, I give you this as proof of their staying power.

But seriously. Stop looking up Crazy Frog.
