These Actors Need To Join Elizabeth Banks In The Live-Action ‘Magic School Bus’

She's set to play Ms. Frizzle.

In nostalgic news, The Magic School Bus is getting a live-action film and it’s starring the incredibly talented, Elizabeth Banks. Based on the Scholastic book series by author Joanna Cole, Universal has decided to reboot the iconic 1990s tv show, starring Elizabeth Banks in the lead role, Ms. Frizzle.

We spoke about Elizabeth Banks on this episode of It’s Been A Big Day For…

Chief Strategy Officer and President of Scholastic Entertainment, Iole Lucchese said, “We are delighted to bring to life the iconic Ms. Frizzle and her zest for knowledge and adventure in a fresh new way that inspires the next generation of kids to explore science and supports the dedicated teachers who help make science real and accessible for young learners every day.”

Joining the intrepid teacher will be a cast of young and curious misfits, but given we don’t know anything about the rest of the casting, we thought we’d help Universal out with a list of actors that we think, deserve a part in this project.

Millicent Simmonds

After proving herself as an incredibly talented actor in A Quiet Place, we strongly believe that Millicent Simmonds should be in The Magic School Bus. For Millicent Simmonds, we’re vibing the role of Phoebe. Phoebe’s a little shy but also willing to stand up for what she believes in. Given her performance in A Quiet Place, we honestly can’t see this role being done by anyone else.

Jack Dylan Grazer

Jack Dylan Grazer has only been in a handful of movies, but this star has captivated us all with each and every performance. Starring in It, It Chapter 2, Beautiful Boy and Shazam! this kid can honestly do it all. For Grazer, we’re vibing the role of Carlos in The Magic School Bus. The comic relief character that has no problem taking chances and getting messy? Sounds like Jack.

Elsie Fisher

After lending her sweet voice to the Despicable Me franchise, Elsie Fisher finally got to show off her acting chops in Eighth Grade. As a result, we reckon she’ll go well as Dorothy Ann (or D.A.) in The Magic School Bus. D.A. is extremely intelligent and analytical and we reckon Elsie Fisher has this persona within her acting wheelhouse.

Marsai Martin

Marsai Martin is so young but already such an icon. After impressing audiences around the world with her performance in Black-ish and Black Lady Sketch Show, Marsai Martin has to be in The Magic School Bus. For Marsai Martin, we’re vibing the role of the level-headed and realistic student in the class, Keesha.

Julian Dennison

Finally, we want a bit Aussie/ New Zealander representation in this reboot too, so how can we leave out Julian Dennison? This hilarious youngster cracked us up in Deadpool 2, and we want to see him make us laugh in The Magic School Bus as Ralphie.

Who would you like to see join Elizabeth Banks in the The Magic School Bus live-action film?
