ICYMI, the Internet practically imploded earlier this week when Lil Nas X tweeted a pic of himself photoshopped with the OG Wiggles.
Lil Nas captioned the mock single cover for ‘Rodeo Remix,’ “y’all ready?” sending his and The Wiggles’ combined fandom into an absolute tailspin.

Just when we thought the hottest collab of 2020 was about to drop, The Wiggles chimed in and said “we have no idea what is going on but this is greatest.”
So, instead of speculating, the GOAT team managed to get OG red Wiggle Murray Cook on the blower for a good old fashioned chinwag.
Speaking about Lil Nas X’s tweet, Murray said, “The first I knew was people retweeting and talking about. But we’re always open to new things.”
One thing that brings Lil Nas X and The Wiggles together is their love of genre bending. “One of the great things of doing The Wiggles was we did do lots of sorts of different music – you’re not tied to genres like other acts. One of our goals was to expose children to lots of different music.”
During our chat with Murray, he also spoke about The Wiggles previous collabs which have included everyone from Kylie Minogue to Shaquille O’Neal. As for Murray’s fave, it’s John Fogerty from Creedence Clearwater Revival. “He’s in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. To play with him was a real dream come true.”
The OG red Wiggle also spoke about how important it is for kids to express themselves creatively and why Sydney should be kept open for the sake of young musicians.
“I had a lot of people in bands say they got into music because of The Wiggles,” he said. “That’s just really rewarding. It’s really important for our culture to keep live music alive.”
Sounds like Murray and his fellow skivvy enthusiasts are more than up for a collab with Lil Nas X, so watch this space.
Oh, and as for what skivvy Lil Nas would we wearing, Murray says most definitely “pink.”
