The Good Reason Billie Eilish Doesn't Want You Pretending To Be Her

dontwannabeyouanymore.

Billie Eilish has had enough.

Earlier today, the Grammy-record-breaking songstress took to Instagram to share her disgust on some of the things her fans are doing. Particularly, she’s over the people who are intentionally dressing up like her to try and cause a ruckus with crowds.

We spoke about Billie Eilish and her 007 theme song on this episode of It’s Been A Big Day For…

On her Instagram Story, Billie shared a compilation post, made by a fan account, that called out some of these YouTubers for dressing up like Billie to get content. She captioned the photo saying “please stop doing this shit it’s not safe for you and it is mean to the people who don’t know any better you make me look bad.”

The singer’s distinctive neon-green look seems to have been parodied by many YouTubers as she shared two screenshots of thumbnails from many different users. It’s been parodied by Deshae Frost, Lael Hansen among others.

What makes the situation even sadder is scrolling through the compilation post and seeing the many kids that think they’re seeing the real Billie Eilish, when in reality, it’s just some nobody.

But, we don’t think Billie is too angry at the situation given her follow-up social media post.

After zooming into one example of a Billie Eilish cosplay, she joked; “also soooo disrespectful that you’d go out pretending to be me in this”. The image in question, of course, showing cheap-looking socks and not-at-all designer sneakers.

Sorry Billie, we sincerely hope these clout-chasing YouTubers stop. It wouldn’t be the first time they took things way too far
