The Dodgiest 'Tiger King' Character Is Getting Their Own Sequel Series

The drama keeps on going.

Tiger King has been something of a pop culture juggernaut ever since it dropped on Netflix and people just can’t get enough of it. Since fans are clamouring for a season 2 and there are several plot threads that warrant extra attention, the powers that be has decided to greenlight a sequel series into arguably the dodgiest character in Tiger King with the most interesting story: Carole Baskin and the murder/disappearance of her husband when she was younger.

Speaking of ‘Tiger King’, the GOAT team talk about Netflix’s wild doco-series on ‘It’s Been A Big Day For…’ below:

Investigation Discovery has announced (via IGN) that a Tiger King spin-off/sequel series titled Investigating The Strange World Of Joe Exotic has been greenlit and will focus on Carole Baskin, what she got up to when she was younger and what role she played (if she played any) in the murder/disappearance of her first husband, Don Lewis.

This psuedo-sequel series to Tiger King isn’t just focusing on a young Carole Baskin as apparently it’ll dive deeper into Joe Exotic, Jeff Lowe, and Doc Antle. However, it must be noted that the only person from Netflix’s Tiger King that’s involved with this project is Joe Exotic (from his jail cell) so this technically isn’t really an official sequel but a new thing altogether.

But those are just semantics because we just want more Tiger King related content and this is as close as we’re gonna get until Netflix decides to make a season 2 or drop that new episode Jeff Lowe keeps talking about.

Needless to say that the world is frothing for more Tiger King/Carole Baskin shenanigans and hopefully we’ll get some answers to the Don Lewis’ murder/disappearance case. If Carole wasn’t be too happy about all the skeletons in her closet that were dug up for Tiger King, she definitely won’t be happy over this pseudo-sequel then.
