The Best Ugly Backgrounds From Celebrity Iso Interviews

Money doesn't always mean style.

During the global pandemic, all eyes have really fallen on the entertainment industry to keep peoples spirits up. Talk shows have continued to deliver interviews with some top-notch celebs, and we’ve been given the rare opportunity to take a glimpse inside the homes of the 10%.

Gwyneth Paltrow

I’m desperately confused by the tiny stools on the left, and the floor to ceiling bookcases full of dust-collecting hardcovers – nobody can reach up there, who’s she fooling? Is this a house for giants or children?

Todrick Hall

It’s anyones guess what Todrick Hall has been up to in iso – but I reckon it’s a spot of craft. Throw a lampshade on a mannequin? Art. Hanging a little monkey from the ceiling? Art. Ding some dents in a barrel? Call him Andy Warhol. The framed clothes are reminiscent of The Biggest Loser goal weight outfits, but I am loving the decor enthusiasm!

David Dobrik

There are an abundance of round things in David Dobrik’s home, and I can only put it down to the need to baby-proof, for fear of him getting hurt. Only soft edges for Mr. Dobrik.

Terry Crews

Terry Crews REALLY wants to let you know that he reads. And knows how to colour-code. As much as I want to brutally roast the yellow walls, I’ll refrain because in this particular interview, he is VERY excited about his iso set-up and people getting to see it, and I won’t take that away from him.

Ben Platt

Ben Platt looks like he’s staying at his parents’ house during iso. He might be.

Karamo Brown

Karamo’s fake ass plant and hotel art are giving me nothing, and I love it. Someone call Bobby Berk, because we’re having an absolute decorating crisis here. That wall colour, however, is magnifique.

Lewis Capaldi

Give him all the awards, this looks like my room when I was 15 – minus the awards or whatever. I can not, for the life of me, envision a completely sane person having a life-sized, cardboard standee in their home. I also have a life-sized, cardboard standee in my home. Actually, I have two.

Kevin Bacon

Kevin Bacon’s background seems to change in every interview appearance, but every single one is just as dismal as the former. He looks like he’s backed up into the corner of someone else’s basement or in a shared laundry, in an apartment complex that is not his. Wherever he is, he’s definitely lost.

Before we depart, I’d like to give a special mention to someone for the best damn iso interview background I have ever seen.

Jennifer Lopez

An absolute goddess – matching her dress to her garden, baby hairs laid, dewy skin, 1080p quality – this gal is not taking a day OFF, even in iso.

If you are FaceTiming, Zooming, HousePartying – just… take a sec to suss what’s in the background before you call.
