Margot Robbie Smashes This ‘Birds Of Prey’ Stunt For Your Viewing Pleasure

She's as good at wild stunts as she is at acting.

Despite being a far superior film than Suicide Squad in every way possible, especially when it comes to its portrayal of Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, it’s sad that Birds Of Prey didn’t resonate with audiences as expected. It’s an absolute shame really because not only did Margot Robbie give it her all in Birds Of Prey, she actually did a fair chunk of the wild stunts and action stuff herself, which makes the film’s relative lack of success even more disappointing.

Speaking of viewing pleasures, the GOAT team talk about Netflix’s wild doco series ‘Tiger King’ on ‘It’s Been A Big Day For…’ below:

In addition to acting in and producing Birds Of Prey, Margot Robbie also insisted on doing as much physical stunt and action work as possible and actually performed what is arguably the coolest move in the film herself.

The move in question takes place mid-way through Birds Of Prey and involves Harley Quinn beating up a bunch of baddies who are coming after her and Cassandra Cain. In the middle of the fight, Harley gets caught in a hold by a baddie, only to escape with a wild dropkick/somersault/leg split move.

It was awesome enough seeing it on the big screen, but seeing Margot Robbie do it for real while dressed as baseball bat-touting Harley Quinn is next level stuff.

Even if Birds Of Prey‘s story was a bit lacking, the fights and action scenes are among the best we’ve seen in a comic book movie, which really makes the decision to bring on the crew from John Wick a very wise one.

We all knew Margot Robbie loved doing stunt and action stuff, having done a lot of the physical work in Suicide Squad and I, Tonya herself, but the moves on display in Birds Of Prey are as good as anything we’ve seen in a top-notch action film.

It’s always nice to see actors do their own stunts, especially when they give credit to all the hard-working stunt men and women who helped make them look awesome, and we have to give the biggest of kudos to Margot Robbie for showing once again just what a certified badarse she is.

Birds Of Prey may not have got the love it deserved when it was out in cinemas, but here’s hoping heaps of people will watch it at home during this coronavirus COVID-19 lockdown, even if it’s just for the scenes of Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn performing wild stunts and kicking arse.
