Iso Life Has Everyone Frothing Over 'Fast And Furious' LEGO

Get revved up.

Move over puzzles, self-isolation just got a whole lot cooler with the latest toy to come out of The LEGO Company. While fans of the Fast And Furious franchise may still be recovering from the one year delay of the franchise’s latest film, F9, LEGO is here to turn that frown upside-down.

Speaking of isolation, we spoke about all those haircuts that are coming out of social distancing on this episode of It’s Been A Big Day For…

Yesterday, The LEGO Group unveiled a 1,077-piece replica set of Dominic Toretto’s iconic 1970 Dodge Charger. The Lego Technic set is 1:13 scale replica of the car that Fast And Furious fans have seen in the movie.

This toy marks the very first LEGO set inspired by The Fast And Furious franchise and we can only assume more would be on the way. I mean, we’re not exactly surprised by this release. LEGO has consistently been a staple toy for children for many decades. This collaboration joins the likes of Frozen, Star Wars and Harry Potter among other popular franchises.

The toy’s designer, Samuel Tacchi, said in a press release, “We worked really closely with the Universal team to bring Dom’s Dodge Charger to life in the most minute detail to inspire ‘Fast And Furious’ fans and Lego Technic builders around the world.”

You can currently pre-order this toy on the official LEGO website, for $179.99 AUD.

Also, fans of the Fast And Furious franchise would be excited to hear that while F9 is yet to hit theatres, the sequel to the film Hobbs & Shaw has already been confirmed, according to Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. In an Instagram Q&A, The Rock revealed the news saying, “(We) just gotta figure out the creative right now, and the direction we’re going to go.”

The next instalment of The Fast And The Furious series, F9, will hit theatres next year in April 2021.
