Fortnite Has Teamed Up With Star Wars For An Epic May The 4th Be With You

Force-nite.

Just when you thought May 4th couldn’t get any bigger, Fortnite has just launched a collaboration with Star Wars. As today is International Star Wars Day, many fans are celebrating by watching the Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker or the Mandalorian BTS series, made available today by Disney Plus. But, for all of you gamers out there, you too can celebrate today in style.

We spoke about Star Wars on today’s episode of It’s Been A Big Day For…

Epic Games, better known as the Fortnite developers, have launched Star Wars-themed accessories for the game. Available for a limited time, you can fight others in the Fortnite world looking like Rey, Kylo Ren and a red Sith Trooper. Not to mention, you can also get emotes. So, if you’ve ever wanted to use the force to choke someone in the game, today’s your lucky day.

Imagine this, but with the eye of the storm constantly shifting.

You can also get lightsabers in four colours, including Rey and Obi-Wan’s blue lightsaber, Luke Skywalker’s green lightsaber, Mace Windu’s purple lightsaber (iconic, if you ask us), and Kylo Ren’s red lightsaber, with the crossguard at the base. So, what are you waiting for? Are you part of the Sith? Are you part of the resistance? It’s time to make up your mind.

While this is super exciting, I am unhappy that there is no ability to purchase a standard white storm-trooper outfit, nor is there any way of buying Darth Vader’s outfit. Perhaps the next time May 4th runs around, there will be a new sale.

For more on gaming, we spoke about Animal Crossing on this episode of It’s Been A Big Day For…

In a statement, the official Fortnite Twitter said, “Fulfill your destiny. #StarWarsDay is almost here and the Rey, Kylo Ren and Sith Trooper Outfits are back in the Shop!” You can check out the Tweet here:

The sale is running until the 5th of May, so you’ll have to log on quickly to snag a couple of these things. Having said this, this isn’t the first time Disney has collaborated with Fortnite. Deadpool has just recently crashed the Fortnite party and in the past, we’ve seen Thanos appear, Marvel skins, two Marvel events and also a Star Wars event.
