Body-Shaming Trolls Don't Get Why Lana Del Rey Looks Different After A Decade

Forever Young & Beautiful.

Lana Del Rey has been somewhat of a polarizing figure in the media industry this year, but at the end of the day, no one deserves any body-shaming from trolls.

Last month, the ‘Young & Beautiful’ singer got dragged through the mud for her tone-deaf rant on Black Lives Matter which somehow got worse and worse and worse over time.

While we’re on the subject of damage control, we spoke about Ellen on this episode of It’s Been A Big Day For…

But, after retreating from the spotlight, Lana Del Rey is still copping some heavy criticism from trolls on the Internet. It all started when Lana Del Rey got a new hair-do in Tulsa, Oklahoma from Blankenship Salon.

The ‘Summertime Sadness’ star went from her signature brunette style to a warm blonde look, embracing a new style for a new project.

While Lana Del Rey didn’t post any photos onto her official Instagram page, she was snapped by her hairdressers and those photos went viral, sadly for all the wrong reasons. After countless digs at her weight gain and many Internet users calling her a ‘Karen’, Lana Del Rey’s fans rose up and successfully drowned out the hate with the hashtag ‘We Love You Lana.’ We love to see it.

Honestly, no matter how much you disagree with a pop star, there’s never an excuse for digs at someone’s weight. Ultimately, in news that’ll be shocking to no one, Lana Del Rey isn’t bothered by the trolls at all. In fact, she’s thriving.

Lana Del Rey is about to release her latest project, Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass, which is a spoken word recording that includes 14 poems performed by the singer.

On the project, Lana Del Rey has said, “Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass is the title poem of the book and the first poem I wrote of many. Some of which came to me in their entirety, which I dictated and then typed out, and some that I worked laboriously picking apart each word to make the perfect poem. They are eclectic and honest and not trying to be anything other than what they are and for that reason, I’m proud of them, especially because the spirit in which they were written was very authentic.” We love a diverse queen.
