A Definitive Ranking Of The Best Disney Channel Original Movies

See Who Bopped To The Top!

Let’s be real, Disney Channel Original Movies are the actual bomb. They’re incredible. From the overacting to the incredibly camp dance numbers, these flicks had our eyes glued to the tv screens when we were kids. But, how do they rank against each other? Ladies & gents, allow us to present the best DCOM’s, ranked.

8. Princess Protection Program

In this unforgettable film, real-life besties play real-life besties! Demi Lovato is the princess who escapes an incident in her native land and seeks refuge in Selena Gomez’s house. Can’t get much better than that folks!

7. Cadet Kelly

In this classic film, Hillary Duff plays a free spirit who’s sent to her step-father’s boarding school. And, as any city-slicker, she struggles a bit. Not as much as Paolo struggled at singing though, let me tell you that!

6. Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie

Everything is not what it seems in this tv movie! One of the most successful Disney Channel films of all time, “Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie” sees Alex, Max and Justin embark on a quest when a curse is placed on their family.  We can’t help but think that “Rare” is written about the Stone of Dreams.

5. The Descendents

Bad kids go good as “The Descendents” follows the super-talented offspring of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella de Vil. The awesome foursome trade-up their dirty, disgusting island for a preppy boarding school, singing bangers along the way.

4. High School Musical

The best basketball player (Zac Efron) and an exchange student (Vanessa Hudgens) disrupt a perfectly fine drama club in the search for personal growth in the incredible, “High School Musical”. The songs, the acting, the chemistry: this Disney Channel film had it all.

3. Cheetah Girls 2

The Cheetah sisters head to Barcelona to compete in what seems to be Spain’s Got Talent in the “Cheetah Girls 2”. The story takes us on a journey showcasing the limits of friendship, all to the soundtrack of a perfect pop album.

2. Camp Rock

At number two, a young Demi Lovato plays an innocent teenager that’s just trying to make friends and sing songs. In an unexpected sequence of events, she ends up falling in love with a Jonas brother – we love that for her.

1. High School Musical 2

And at number one, Troy punches a golf course, Sharpay invents gay-male culture as we know it, Chad & Ryan have crazy sexual tension on the baseball field and the students of East High are shocked that they have to do work after getting a job. Taking the top spot on this list is the forever iconic, “High School Musical 2”.
