We’ve been talking about Glee a lot recently. From all the accusations that Lea Michele has copped to her false apology, we’re losing sight of the joy that Glee once brought us. Glee was once at the top of the world. The Ryan Murphy show was so ubiquitous that to this day, the cast of Glee has the most entires on the Billboard Hot 100 over any artist ever.

Forget You – Gwyneth Paltrow
The almighty Gwyneth Paltrow, once again, proves she’s a triple threat. When Gwyneth Paltrow isn’t selling candles that smell like her vagina, she’s actually slaying Hollywood with her acting skills and vocal ability. We got a taste of her singing in the film Duets when she sang ‘Cruisin’ with Huey Lewis, but in Glee, she really showed off her pipes. Dream On – Neil Patrick Harris
‘Dream On’ maybe a karaoke classic, but does that mean anyone has ever topped Aerosmith? Not really. The tune has been covered by everyone from Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine to Blake Shelton, but the real killer performance was delivered by Neil Patrick Harris and Matthew Morrison. This performance goes down as one of the most powerful vocal performances on Glee, as these two belters constantly try and out-do each other.
Maybe This Time – Kristin Chenoweth
Speaking of duets, another crucial performance was delivered by Lea Michele and Kristin Chenoweth. Yes, Lea Michele is a Broadway star, but Kristin Chenoweth is a Broadway legend. With the latter playing Glinda in the Broadway production of Wicked, you better believe these two vocalists knocked out this tv performance.
Whatever Happened to Saturday Night? – John Stamos
Have you ever wanted to see John Stamos perform in the Rocky Horror Picture Show? Yeah, you and everyone else in the world. Thank God, Ryan Murphy made our dreams come true with this one. This General Hospital actor subbed out his scrubs for the rehearsal performance of the century.
Listen To Your Heart – Jonathan Groff
While some people know Jonathan Groff as the lead in Mindhunter, you better believe we know him for his Broadway history. From starring as the lead in Spring Awakening or the King in Hamilton to providing the vocals for Kristoff in Frozen and Frozen II, this actor has proven he can do pretty much anything and that includes covering this ‘80s classic with utter ease.
Here Comes The Sun – Demi Lovato
Okay, is this cover better than The Beatles? No, it’s The Beatles, they’re a bit hard to top. But, we do have to give props to Demi Lovato and Naya Rivera for their ability to bring new meaning out of this song. With a simple acoustic guitar, Demi Lovato and Naya Rivera serve up a perfect pop duet.
Let’s Have A Kiki – Sarah Jessica Parker
Can Sarah Jessica Parker sing? She doesn’t have to be able to. For this final Glee cover, we’ve chosen the all-iconic ‘Let’s Have A Kiki’ number, where Sarah Jessica Parker gives us spoken-word realness. This performance is especially enthralling because Aussie-fave Dean Geyer and Drag Race legend Shangela make an appearance.
