There’s something about Eminem’s hostile rapping that makes me feel like I’m back in middle school, listening to ‘Love The Way You Lie’ and ‘Stan’ and indulging in the emotional turmoil of being a teen.
Well Eminem just dropped a whole album out of nowhere that’s packed full of 13 moody tracks to make you feel a little mad and a little sad all weekend. Fun! Let’s get broody folks!
Tried not 2 overthink this 1… enjoy. ?#KAMIKAZE Out Now – https://t.co/ANw73KbwMt pic.twitter.com/qfQoTYBTUy

Kamikaze is executive produced by Dr. Dre and Slim Shady so it’s got some strong hands behind it.
It’s sizzling with Eminem’s rage and resentment towards everyone who dissed his last album Revival that came out just nine months ago. Pretty much everyone dissed the album so there’s a lot of pent up ~feelings~ coming out here.
Maybe if we respond positively Eminem will put out some more fun tracks a la ‘Just Lose It’ next time.
Among all the belligerent tracks on Kamikaze the album also features some skits – like a voicemail from his manager Paul Rosenberg questioning whether this album is a good idea. Meta!!!
There are only a few guest spots on the record, taken by Joyner Lucas, Royce Da 5’9”, and Jessie Reyez. Other than that it’s mostly Eminem being feisty. So if you’re into the angry-Eminem genre you’ll probably dig it.
Eminem has been open about his love for the fellow white rappers of the Beastie Boys, and his Kamakaze album art is an homage to their iconic 1986 record Licensed To III. Which is like a rip-off but a little bit different and meant to be a compliment.

Anyway, enjoy your brooding, and someone please give Eminem a hug.
