If you’re wondering why you’re an emotional wreck at just the thought of a Dumbo remake, you’re not alone.
I’m right there with you.
Oh, and randomly, so is Kevin Smith.
Fuck you and take all of my money! Right now! Oh God I need this movie in my head, heart & soul STAT! If @Dumbo is half as good as the trailer, it may just have mended by broken heart… and then broke it all over again! If I wind up back in the hospital this trailer is to blame! https://t.co/nQy1UWF4HC

There’s no denying the premise of Dumbo tugs at the heartstrings, and the remake is set to drown you in a river of your own tears.

The first-look trailer from Tim Burton is a visually rich glimpse into a painted art deco world that kind of looks like what you’d expect to see if The Great Gatsby ever had a mashup with Charlotte’s Web.
But be warned, this is one quick clip that’ll have you welling up and reaching for the tissues in seconds.
Watched the #Dumbo trailer. Pretty sure I’m just gonna be crying about it for the rest of my life.

Yep, whaddya know – the tale of an orphaned baby elephant is still a major tearjerker.
Those floppy ears hanging low? Those blue eyes filling with tears as his mum is hauled off in the back of a wagon?
I can’t! This re-imagined Disney classic will make you sob, bawl, and ugly-cry for about two-hours straight – and if you’re anything like me, you’ll probably be unable to handle the emotions.
"Maybe I'll watch the new #Dumbo trailer. Maybe now that I'm in my late 30s I'll be able to handle it."

In true Burton style, Danny Elfman has been enlisted for soundtrack duties (and I’m pretty sure that’s Lana Del Rey’s voice I can hear in the trailer song).
There’s also a stellar cast in tow to help you forget about all the movie moments that will have you rushing home to your mum for a never-ending hug.
From Alan Arkin to Danny DeVito, Michael Keaton, Eva Green and Colin Farrell – they Burton gang’s all there.
On the plus side, Johnny Depp is nowhere to be seen, so that’s a win, right?
In the meantime, if you’re looking for a decent cry before the film is released next year around the original movie’s 78th anniversary, please enjoy this soul-destroying clip courtesy of my broken heart.
