Authorities are searching for a boat abandoned by drug-smuggling pirates that they suspect has more than $50 million worth of cocaine stashed on board.
I too am tempted to embark on the search but I’m sure that’s just because I’m competitive. Definitely that.
For reasons that have everything to with reporting and nothing to do with giving directions, I’ll tell you that said vessel is stranded on a remote island off the coast of Papua New Guinea, near an uninhabited volcanic islet in the Vitiaz Strait called the Siassi Islands.
Apparently the boat is booby-trapped with the engine room dosed in oil and fuel, so honestly I reckon it might be best to leave this one to the authorities.
All 55 bags of cocaine that officials believe are on board. Ooft.
I’ve never understood the difference between baking soda and baking powder. Now the difference between pre-sifted all purpose flour and high grade cocaine, well that one’s obvious. pic.twitter.com/eLFcbdLKEy

The smugglers are set to face trial on drug charges next week but for now, their treasure is either still waiting to be seized, or causing ruckus in a nearby fishing village.
