A New Drake & Josh Project Is Coming So Get Excited OG Nickelodeon Fans

It's like the early 2000s are coming back to bring us all the joy we need right now.

Ah 2004, that was a much simpler time. Social media didn’t exist, smartphones were mere fantasies, and entertainment existed in the form of whatever was on Nickelodeon at the moment.

So it’s fitting that in these tough times that OG Nickelodeon stalwarts Drake Bell and Josh Peck have decided to help bring some joy back by working on a new project together.

During his appearance on the red carpet at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards, Drake revealed PEOPLE that he and Josh are “working on something” that they think is a “great idea”.

Excuse me for a sec.

Being one of those aforementioned OG Nickelodeon fans back in the early 2000s who eagerly came home after school everyday to watch shows like Drake & Josh and Kenan & Kel, this news has reawakened every dormant teenage brain cell in my head.

Having last worked together on Drake & Josh from 2004 to 2007, a lot has changed for Drake and Josh since then and it appears their new project isn’t just some reboot or continuation of their Nickelodeon show.

Talking about their secret project, Drake didn’t spill much and only revealed that it is “going to be way more creative, way cooler than just you know the college years or something like that.

“We knew that if we were ever going to come back, it’s got to be something cool. I’m excited to see what the fans think.”

Given how Josh is a big YouTuber who dabbles in Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis-esque videos these days, perhaps his and Drake’s new project will be less sitcom and more “YouTube-y”.

We obviously have no idea what they’re working on but we might’ve gotten a hint with Josh’s latest YouTube video in which Drake talks about losing his virginity.

Not only do the duo tackle that topic head on, there are also plenty of moments of the two goofing around while reminiscing on the old Nickelodeon days.

You know what, just give us weekly YouTube videos of Drake and Josh talking about random topics in a car because that is just guaranteed gold content right there.
