Don Cheadle, or, Donald Frank Cheadle Jr. is an actor, film producer, director, writer, and clearly an awesome guy. After guest hosting Saturday Night Live, Cheadle is the man of the hour.
While introducing Gary Clark Jr’s final performance, he used his opportunity and platform to make a bold statement of compassion for the transgender community
The statement was simply communicated in a shirt with the words ‘PROTECT TRANS KIDS’ emblazoned across the front.

People who are transgender are among the most marginalised and mistreated in the world, and amplifying this show of support for that community through the SNL platform means a lot to a lot of people.
